ACL reconstructions can often take a long time to heal fully and leave the patient nervous about returning to their previous levels of fitness. The decision on when a patient is completely recovered isn’t always easily defined, it requires significant testing.

This course will aim to discuss effective rehabilitation of ACL reconstructions and introduce the return to sport screening developed by Mr Jonathan Bell and Mr Nick Wirth. The return to sport screening not only assesses whether or not a patient is physically able to get back to sport but can help to prevent re-injury. It builds the patient’s, and physio’s confidence in their recovery and helps to create targeted sessional work for them to continue if they aren’t quite there yet.
